Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is a known gearhead and boasts one of the most impressive car collections out there. Some of his cars that didn’t even make this list are the Aston Martin Vanquish, Mercedes-Benz SLS Black Series, Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, and Ferrari 488 Pista. But, as far as celebrity rides go, these are boring cars. Go for a quick drive around Malibu on a Sunday morning and you’re likely to spot at least a couple of these. What makes Hart’s collection really impressive and one-of-a-kind is the array of custom-made, classic restomodded muscle cars that line up his garage, most of which have their own name. Let's take a peek at the 10 most impressive machines from the comedy star’s garage and explore what makes them truly unique.

10 1987 Buick Grand National GNX 'The Dark Knight'

The first entry on this list is another work by Salvaggio Design. The car was also on display at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas, at the Magnaflow booth. According to designer Sean Smith, the restomod tries to stay loyal to the original Grand National DNA and heritage, while “striking a hard balance of restraint and progressiveness”. The car sits on a custom chassis and carbon-fiber bits adorn several parts of the bodywork. Powering this machine is a single-turbo version of the Cadillac ATS-V’s LF4 3.6-liter V-6. The engine builders chose it as it was closest to what GM might have put in the Grand National if it was still available today. Here, the mill runs on about 20 psi of boost and the dyno shows 650 horsepower on 103 octane gas. The build is not finished yet, as the goal is to fit performance camshafts and increase power further to about 700 horsepower on race gas.

9 1969 Plymouth Road Runner ‘Mike Myers’

This car recently won the Goodguys Rod & Custom Muscle Machine of the Year award and was on display at Meguiar’s booth at SEMA. Made by Salvaggio Design, the Halloween-themed car features plenty of black and orange accents throughout, including ‘blood-splatter’ patterns in the front seats. It sits on a custom chassis with Detroit Speed suspension and HRE wheels. Power comes from a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V-8 engine producing 940 horsepower on 91-octane gas, thanks to a Holley Dominator EFI system, and mated to a Tremec 6060 six-speed manual transmission. Stopping is courtesy of 14-inch rotors and six-piston calipers up front, and 13-inch rotors clamped by four-piston calipers out back.

8 1970 Dodge Charger ‘Hellraiser’

Designed by SpeedKore, ‘Hellraiser’ features a bespoke, exposed carbon fiber body riding on a custom chassis. Power comes from a supercharged 7.0-liter ‘Hellephant’ crate engine developing 1,000 horsepower and 950 pound-feet of torque, mated to a ZF 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission from the Dodge Demon. Like other vehicles in this list, the front suspension uses components from Detroit Speed and Woodward, while the live rear axle features a custom four-link design and two-way Penske shocks. There are Brembo six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers out back, and sway bars on both ends. HRE S201 three-piece wheels and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires complete this formidable package.

7 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible ‘Mint Condition’

This is Kevin’s oldest car, as far as we can tell. He paid $825,000 for this one-of-a-kind classic Corvette back in 2021. Even here there are changes under the hood. It features a 2020 LT1 6.2-liter V-8 from the C8 Corvette, pushing 460 horsepower and paired with a Supermatic 4L75E four-speed automatic transmission. The brakes are also upgraded to Wilwood C7 14-inch rotors clamped by six-piston calipers up and stainless-steel brake lines. The interior features some modernity too, with a brand-new stereo system designed to replicate the original one found in the C1 ‘Vette.

6 1967 Ford Mustang GT500E ‘Eleanor’

The 1967 Ford Mustang fastback ‘Eleanor’ was built for the 2000 movie “Gone in 60 Seconds”, starring Nicolas Cage. Finished in grey, only three still appear to be in circulation (one of which is currently up for sale in Portugal). Stealth Motorworks made Hart’s version from the bottom up, which took almost two years to complete. According to Hart himself, nothing in it is stock – everything was replaced with new performance parts custom-built for the car. Power comes from an all-aluminum 427-cubic-inch V-8 producing 650 horsepower. Handling was also kept in mind when building this ride, as there’s independent suspension on all four corners.

5 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ‘Bad News’

Hart’s love for 60’s-era muscle cars is evident in his collection, and here’s another one. Nicknamed “Bad News”, it was originally built by Timeless Kustoms around a decade ago, but has benefited from a refresh more recently. Hart also clearly loves this color, as the car was completely repainted in Satin black. The engine is a de-stroked 380-cubic-inch LS7 V-8 mated to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. Two 68-millimeter Turbonetics ball-bearing turbos provide 650 wheel horsepower. “Bad News” rides on a front C6 Corvette suspension, while the rear is a nine-inch four-link setup. The tires are massive Kumho 305-section at the front and 355 at the rear, which come from a Dodge Viper. They are mounted on Forgeline wheels, housing carbon-ceramic brakes all around. There’s enough sound reduction from the turbos that mufflers are not needed, allowing the fantastic exhaust note to shine through.

4 1977 Ford Bronco 4x4

Kevin’s garage isn’t made up solely of insane performance cars. The man is also a fan of off-roading, as exemplified by his bright-red 1977 Bronco 4x4. This car features a 302-cubic-inch fuel-injected V-8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a Dana twin-stick transfer case. The huge ground clearance comes from a lift kit with King coilovers and 35-inch Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires wrapped around color-matched 17-inch Fuel wheels. Unfortunately, Kevin doesn’t own the car anymore, as it fetched nearly $140,000 at a 2021 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction.

3 2021 Ferrari SF90 Spider

Here’s another addition to this list that shows Hart’s eclectic taste for cars. His garage is not made up only of classic cars; the comedian also enjoys modern supercars, like this black Ferrari SF90. In fact, he took delivery of the first SF90 sent to the U.S., a Nero Spider with yellow brake calipers and black wheels. He has since swapped the stock units with HREs. The Italian flagship features a 1,000-horsepower hybrid drivetrain, with a 780-horsepower 4.0-liter V-8 assisted by an electric motor powering the rear wheels through an eight-speed DCT. A couple of extra electric motors power the front wheels. This allows the plug-in hybrid to operate in fully electric, front-wheel-drive mode at speeds up to 80 mph for up to 25 kilometers. The combustion engine kicks in on demand, providing torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive for more spirited drives

2 1964 Corvette Convertible

Back to classic 60s muscle cars and the second convertible Corvette on this list. This is one of the few custom vehicles in Kevin’s garage to not have a nickname, as far as we can tell. There’s not much information around about it, but a look under the hood (and at the badging on the hood bump itself) reveals that power comes from a naturally aspirated Chevrolet LS3 engine from a Corvette C6. The interior is an eye-catching shade of red that matches the bodywork. A Wilwood brake master cylinder hints that the stopping power is there to match the horses, as with Kevin’s other vehicles.

1 1970 Plymouth Barracuda ‘Menace’

The final car on this list is also no longer part of Kevin’s collection, but still deserves a spot because of its history. Designed by SpeedKore, it has had a few engines throughout its existence. Ultimately Kevin Hart settled for a 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 from the Dodge Demon, producing just over 800 horsepower. Kevin acquired the car in July 2019. In September of that year, the car was involved in a massive crash. The driver had to be cut out from the wreckage and Kevin himself had to be submitted to back surgery for a fractured spine. He was lucky to come out alive, and has since spoken of how the accident changed his life. It made him see everything from a different perspective and value the things that truly matter. So, not only was it a really special car, it was a life-changing one at that, and therefore can be credited for a big part of who Kevin Hart, the man behind the comedy genius, is today.
