Electric mobility will someday make ICE-powered vehicles obsolete. That is downright scary, especially if you own high-performance cars or are a hardcore enthusiast. It could also mean that in 50 or 100 years, current hypercars like the Bugatti Chiron or LaFerrari could become barn discoveries hidden away on some billionaire's property. This haunting potential future has been illustrated by artist TheDizzyViper in a series of renderings, where you can even find an abandoned McLaren Senna that has been ravaged by the passing of time.

Encountering An Abandoned Barn Like This Would Break Anyone’s Heart

The ultimate barn finds of the current day could be old-school cars like the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL or a Ferrari 365 GTB/4. But in the future, such incredible finds could include the models rendered by TheDizzyViper, including a Lamborghini Aventador, a Pagani Huayra, or a McLaren Senna, which is pretty insane considering these models are among the current pinnacle of performance and driving pleasure. Out of all the renderings, one that stands out is the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport. It is upsetting to encounter a hypercar that was limited to just 60 specimens with dust sitting on it. And more troubling, the body is not without flaws - the front bumper has come off, and if you look closely, the upper half of the bonnet has as well. The outside mirrors are also damaged.

Another rendering shows an abandoned Ferrari LaFerrari. Just 710 examples were made with production ending in 2018. This V-12-powered hybrid hypercar now sits on grit and is covered in thick layers of dust, which quickly hides the headlamp modules. But it is not over, there is a Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 and a McLaren Senna. The Sian is a limited-edition hybrid hypercar restricted to just 82 units and is the first production car from Lamborghini to sport a hybrid supercapacitor component. Just 500 examples of the McLaren Senna have been made to date with its AMG-derived twin-turbo V-8 producing a healthy 789 ponies and 590 pound-feet of twist.

While the Sián and the Senna are living legends, they will become forgotten heroes over the next century, and these realistic renderings showcase how they could be lost to time. They depict how millions of dollars worth of high-performance vehicles will go to waste with the growing concerns about lowering carbon footprints worldwide. Also, TheDizzyViper could break some hearts on the next April Fools' Day with a few renderings of this sort without the watermark.
