Luxembourg may not be known as a hotbed in the customized motorcycle scene, but Blacktrack Motors is aiming to change that narrative. The latest project from the Luxembourg-based customizing shop founded in 2016 is a stunning limited edition café racer dubbed the BT-05 Cento. The idea behind this motorcycle was to honor the legendary motorcycle brand, Moto Guzzi. "Since the inception of Blacktrack Motors, building a café racer around a big Moto Guzzi V-twin engine was at the top of my list," said Sacha Lakic, Blacktrack Motors founder and lead designer.

The BT-05 Cento Pays Homage To The Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans

Lakic himself is behind the bodywork design. The inspiration for BT-05 came from Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans, but Lakic said his homage isn't designed to be a modern-day replica of the motorcycle. "Rather, it taps into the spirit of the Le Mans, resulting in a track-focused machine, with the look of a café racer that’s been put into overdrive," he said. Everything about this bike looks minimal and reduced to its basics with the frame and the engine taking the center stage.

The Engine Comes From Moto Guzzi Griso

The starting point was the V-twin engine from the Moto Guzzi Griso. As it turns out, that was the only thing they kept from the donor bike as the rest of the components were completely replaced. This 1,151cc engine originally put out 110 horsepower, but the crew at the Blacktrack decided to increase the engine’s capacity in order to get more horsepower. On top of that, they installed a full 2-in-1 titanium exhaust system by Zard, which was custom-made for this motorcycle, along with a carbon-fibre air-box. Therefore, the BT-05 now sports a 1,382cc engine with 136 horsepower at 7,480 rpm and 106 pound-feet of torque at 5,342 rpm.

To stay true to the original intention of making a track-focused café racer, Blacktrack had to make the bike as light as possible. To do so, they turned to an Italian company called Guareschi Moto, which has a 50-year experience in restoring and racing Moto Guzzis. They were responsible for creating the unique tubular steel frame for this BT-05. The main frame weighs only 23 pounds with the subframe weighing in at 3.7 pounds. The wheels were made from magnesium by Marvic. The suspension is from Öhlins with fully-adjustable FGRT upside-down forks at the front and a TTX mono-shock at the rear. To stop this track beast, Brembo Racing M50 radial monoblock calipers with double 333mm front discs were installed. With the whole body made of carbon fiber or carbon fiber and fiberglass composite, the dry weight of this motorcycle clocks in at just 385 pounds.

Only 10 BT-05 Models Will Be Produced, And They Are Ultra-Pricey

You can buy this stunning custom, but you better hurry and have a fat wallet. Only 10 of these stunning motorcycles will be made, with at least two already sold, each in its own color. Some colors include Suzuka White, Daytona Blue, Mugello Gray, and Monaco Black Carbon. Also, it's vital to note the bike isn’t street legal from the start. Want to make it so? Blacktrack delivers the bike with street legal parts for you to install. The price for all of this ring in at $133,700 with a 12-month waiting period. Seems reasonable for a state-of-the-art, custom-made café racer.
