Marvel has a massive fan following worldwide, and all kinds of companies join hands with it to exploit this market, especially in the motorcycle world. Just look at HJC’s popular Marvel range of helmets (like the RPHA-11 Green Goblin) for instance, or Moto Guzzi’s neat marketing in a comic where Wolverine rides a V100 Mandello. The latest entrant to the list is our very own Honda, which has revealed two Marvel-themed ADV 160 scooters. These cater to Captain America and Iron Man fans, in particular, with 6,000 units (3,000 each) planned by the Japanese marquee.

Captain America's shield sure looks good on the ADV 160

The crown jewel for both limited editions is their bespoke liveries. Kicking off with the Captain America edition (after all, he’s the First Avenger), it flaunts a Pearl Bosporus Blue base coat, replete with graphics that mimic Captain’s shield. This is topped by color-matched side panels, wearing the ‘ADV160’ badge.

Similarly, the Iron Man edition boasts a shiny deep red finish, accentuated by golden inserts, inspired by the superhero’s suit. The side panels keep the trend going via their afterburner-like graphics, all of which are brought to a close by the multiple arc-reactor and Iron Man helmet logos. If told to pick, we’d take home the Iron Man edition ADV 160. Any day.

Yes, you read that right. The chances of you seeing these limited edition scooters on American roads are scarce, even if we sugarcoat it. That’s because Honda only plans to sell these Marvel-themed offerings in Thailand for now. In fact, you can’t even buy the standard ADV 160 in America - let alone the limited editions - since Honda only sells the 2022 ADV 150 here. Anyway, the Captain America and Iron Man editions will go on sale at the Bangkok Motor Show, and each example will come with a matching bomber jacket.
