The Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 1100 are two of the finest sports bikes and streetfighters money can buy. But the Italian bikemaker has made them even finer for 2023 with a special edition variant exclusive to the American market. The motorcycles broke cover at the MotoGP’s American round, held at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), in the presence of factory Aprilia riders - Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales.

The Special Edition RSV4 And Tuono V4 1100 Flaunt A Gleaming Livery

The special livery is similar to the already-available Time Attack color, albeit with a white base coat

Like most special editions, the RSV4 and Tuono V4 flaunt a special livery. They come wrapped in a bright white base coat, accentuated by edgy red graphics from head to toe. A closer look also reveals a pinch of deep pastel purple inserts on the tank and fairing–identical to the graphics seen on Aprilia’s Time Attack livery. These, together with the neon-ish red alloy wheels, make both motorcycles look the part and sure-shot head-turners. Heck, we’ll even say this is our new favorite livery in the Noale brand’s V4 portfolio.

The Special Edition RSV4 And Tuono V4 1100 Are Based On The Factory Versions

There are no mechanical changes

Beneath the new finish, the special edition duo is based on the top-of-the-line RSV4 and Tuono V4 Factory variants. So both motorcycles flex a bevy of high-quality components, such as forged aluminum wheels, semi-active Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension, and Brembo Stylema brakes up top. This is topped by a full suite of APRC electronics - six riding modes, traction control, bi-directional quickshifter, wheelie control, launch control - all monitored by a Marelli 11MP ECU. You also get Aprilia’s cornering lights and a five-inch TFT instrument cluster.

The crown jewels, meanwhile, are the engines. While the Tuono V4 benefits from a 1,077cc, V4 mill with 175 horsepower, the RSV4 1100 features Aprilia’s flagship 1,099cc, V4 that churns out an insane 217 horsepower. For reference, the latter is the most powerful liter-class sports bike in America, as it makes seven and twelve ponies more than the US-spec Ducati Panigale V4 and 2023 BMW S 1000 RR, respectively.
