When it comes to gorgeous motorcycle designs, there are very few bikemakers that hit the spot every single time. And MV Agusta ranks pretty high on this list. In its 78-year life, the Italian manufacturer has given us some scintillating motorcycles, one of which was the 2018 Superveloce concept. It took inspiration from 70s race bikes and earned the “Most Beautiful Bike of the Show” title at the ‘18 EICMA. Not only this, the sports bike became an instant hit amongst the public, ultimately leading to the production-spec Superveloce 800.

Well deserving of the "Most Beautiful Bike" title, isn't it?

One look at the Superveloce and it looked properly retro. Credit went to its radical bodywork which comprised side sharp fairings paired with an old-school cafe-racer-like top fairing. The latter had an aerodynamic shape, complete with a swept-back windscreen and round LED headlight for some modern flavor. A similar treatment followed outback, as you got a clean, minimalistic tail accentuated by the gorgeous single-sided swingarm.

Though vintage in design, MV Agusta infused the Superveloce with top-shelf componentry. The crown jewel was the F3-borrowed 800cc, inline-triple engine that produced 148 horsepower and 64.9 pound-feet. This, coupled with the SV’s 380-pound curb weight, helped it breach 120mph in roughly nine seconds. Oh, and since this is plenty of power, the Superveloce came ripe with an extensive electronics suite–lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, wheelie control, bi-directional quickshifter, and even a launch control, all topped by a 5-inch TFT.

As for underpinnings, the motorcycle featured a trellis chassis, sprung on quality suspension–43mm Marzocchi USD fork and Sachs monoshock–alongside 17-inch aluminum wheels. The latter wore Pirelli Diablo Rosso rubber and housed Brembo monobloc brakes to shed speed. Add to this the short 54.3-inch wheelbase and aggressive riding triangle, and the Superveloce was no slouch in the twisties. However, all this exclusiveness made the SV 800 hard to afford and just wallpaper for many. Not anymore though, as there’s a never-ridden 2020 Superveloce 800 for grabs at Iconic Motorbike Auctions to help you save some bucks and realize your dream.

The Superveloce's aerodynamic design is unlike anything else in the industry

Yes, you heard that right. The reseller has posted a Superveloce with just three miles on the odometer, none of which have come from road riding. This is backed by its spotless bodywork, finished in a black and gold livery. You also get two original keys, the owner’s manual, an MV Agusta bag, and a battery charger. Owing to its original $21,000 (approx.) price tag, we expect this to sell between $15,000 and $17,000. And if money’s just an object, you can also buy the 2023 Superveloce 800 for $24,400.
