Arriving this fall, the 2024 Corvette E-Ray is GM's first take on a hybrid supercar and at first glance, the company seems to have nailed the formula. With prices expected to start at $105,000, it’s a true bargain PHEV supercar. The all-new 2024 E-Ray features the base C8's 6.2-liter N/A V-8 which is assisted by a 160-horsepower electric motor driving the front wheels that takes power from a small and light 1.1-kWh Battery pack. The result is a first-ever AWD Corvette with 655 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds. Flat-out, the Z-ray can cross 180 mph, but this isn't your average PHEV.

Unlike other cars on this list, the Corvettes electric powertrain is meant to fill in the gaps in power and improve grip, which is why it gets a small battery pack that is only good for a top speed of 45 mph in electric mode, and it completely detaches itself over 150 mph to reduce mechanical resistance. Chevy has given the Z-Ray a cool feature called 'stealth mode' which allows you to drive your Corvette in electric mode for up to 4 miles.

2 2023 BMW 330e - Best Luxurious Daily-Driver

The BMW 3 Series has been the benchmark in the entry-level luxury segment, offering a fine blend of practicality, luxury, and sedate German styling. The 330e takes the practicality quotient of the 3 Series up a notch, by offering a PHEV drivetrain. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbo Inline-four from the base 3 Series making 181 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, in isolation to the single 111 horsepower electric motor.

The combined system output is a respectable 249 horsepower and 310 pound-feet, which is respectable for the segment. With 41 miles of electric range, the 330e might not be the best, but offers a sufficient electric range for most daily commutes and gets a cool XtraBoost feature which adds an extra 40 horsepower of electric thrust for 10 seconds at the press of a button for those brisk overtakes. Prices start at $42,950. With a company-claimed fuel-efficiency figure of 138 MPG, the 330e could make for a near-perfect company car.

4 2023 Ferrari 296 GTB - Best Entry-level Plug-in Hybrid Supercar

Calling any Ferrari a 'bargain' might sound heavy-handed, but the 296 GTB seems like a true hypercar bargain. This entry-level supercar is the first official V-6-powered car for the Italian marque and the first rear-wheel drive hybrid. Headline figures include a twin-turbo V-6 hybrid setup making 819 horsepower, a sub-three-second 0-60 mph time, and a starting price of about $320,000. The 120-degree V-6 churns 654 horsepower and 546-pound feet which is further boosted by an electric motor making 165 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque. The electric motor takes power from a 7.45 kWh battery pack that weighs 154 pounds (70 kilograms) and is packed over the floor, right between the seats and the engine, for optimal weight distribution.

The 2023 296 GTB can drive up to 15 miles on purely electric power, but you can choose to empty all the juice in a few laps if you select Qualifying mode. Opting for the Assetto Fiorano pack gets you Multimatic dampers and carbon fiber nubbins like a front splitter that not only saves weight, it also adds 20 kilograms of downforce. 5 2023 Mercedes S63 AMG - Germany's Performance Limo

Joining BMW in a battle of mighty performance-centric PHEVs, Mercedes has released the all-new S63 AMG. As the first-ever hybrid AMG S-class model, this all-new performance version will take on the fight to cars like the Bentley Flying Spur PHEV and even the latest lineup of the 7 Series. Powering the S63 AMG is an AMG staple 4.0-liter biturbo V-8 that's assisted by an electric motor that sits on the rear axle. The combined system output is 791 horsepower and 1,055 pound-feet, making this the most powerful S-class of all time.

Power is sent to all-four wheels via two separate gearboxes, first a nine-speed for the V-8 and a two-speed transmission for the electric motor. That motor takes power from a 13.1 kWh battery pack, which gives the S63 AMG, the ability to travel for 20 miles in pure EV mode. 6 2023 BMW XM - Race-bred Hybrid-tech For The Road

7 2023 Range Rover Sport P510e - The SUV For Eco-conscious Executives

Land Rover released the new generation of its flagship Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs with an overwhelming response from the market. The new generation products manage to maintain the Range Rover charm and presence while adding some serious kit to the equipment list. 8 Bentley Flying Spur PHEV - Best Luxury Plug-in Hybrid

After the retirement of the majestic Mulsanne, the Bentley Flying Spur has been the brand's hallmark four-door limo. Available with a range of engines, including a mighty W-12, the Flying Spur puts luxury over everything else, but in 2022, the brand introduced its first PHEV limo. 9 2023 BMW 545e - An All-round Hybrid Executive Saloon

The 2023 BMW 545e might not be the most frugal PHEV out on sale today, but the inline-six turbo hybrid drivetrain makes it a proper M550i or even an M5 substitute, especially for those eco-conscious Execs. 10 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV - Best Budget-friendly Family PHEV

The Hyundai Santa Fe is as practical as modern SUVs get, thanks to a spacious cabin, stuffed with plenty of tech and equipment, some of the best lane-keep and autopilot tech in the business, and a range of economical powertrains to choose from.
