Sure, you could just go to a dealership, buy a new motorcycle and take the easy road, but what if you want something that nobody else has? That’s where Tamarit Motorcycles comes in, and there aren’t many motorcycle customizers that could provide offerings like this workshop from Elche, Spain. Tamarit started customizing motorcycles back in 2015, specializing in Triumph models. So far, they built over 125 units in plenty of different styles, including a café racer, dirt track motorcycle, a brat style and a scrambler, with each being a one-off project. Their latest build is called Emerald, and it was based on a Triumph Bonneville, a very popular motorcycle for customizing. The inspiration behind this project, and its namesake, was the precious stone that stands out for its green color. Tamarit often uses gemstones as inspirations for its builds, and this Bonneville certainly stands out with its gorgeous design and striking hue.

It Takes A Lot Of Effort To Build The Emerald

The Emerald is a completely handcrafted motorcycle, with over 650 working hours invested in it's production. At the center of this motorcycle is the Triumph Bonneville’s carburetted 900cc engine, which was improved by adding a Keihin FCR39 carburetor, K&N air filters and a new cooling system. The vintage engine fits perfectly with the vintage design, but the build quality is very much modern. Starting from the front, you can see the smaller front wheel, which replaced the original Bonneville’s in order to get that classic old-school look. Above the front wheel sits the LED headlight behind a chromed grill that was welded onto the handlebar. To keep it functional, they used levers from Kustom Tech and a Motoscope’s mini speedometer.

The fuel tank, besides being done in emerald green, is also quite unique with the suede padding on both sides. That is the same material they used for the seat, which sits separately from the tank. The exhaust, completely done by hand, was made especially for this motorcycle. At the rear you will find a single chromed-out mono-shock and an extended swing-arm replacing the standard Bonneville’s dual shock. What catches the eye is a golden chain, which perfectly complements the emerald green of the motorcycle. What's quite interesting is the rear. There are no spokes with a solid wheel. It seems that using that sort of wheel cuts down the turbulence and improves aerodynamics and handling, the company claims. On top of the rear wheel is the rear fender nicely done out of fiberglass.
