The Modern-Day Challenger Is An Impressive Feat Of Engineering
Over the lifespan of the current Challenger model, the engineers at Dodge have pushed the limits of what their seminal V-8 HEMI engine is capable of. Just a decade ago, the most extreme Challenger model, the SRT-8, produced 470 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V-8. Since then, the SRT performance division has thrown everything but the kitchen sink at the venerable HEMI, including forced induction, and now they’ve managed to squeeze a ridiculous 807 horsepower out of the trusty HEMI.
The Jailbreak option package is available on the 2023 SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody model, offering a ten-horsepower bump over the Redeye. However, horsepower isn’t the only thing that sets the Jailbreak apart from other Challenger variants. The Jailbreak package unlocks dozens of customization choices that have never been available on a Challenger before. From six different brake caliper colors, seven different seats, new exterior paints, wheel finishes, and even four different steering wheel options, the possibilities are endless.
