When it comes to mind-bending custom motorcycles, you just can’t overlook Thailand’s K-Speed customs. The shop has already given us some epic builds, including its utterly bonkers Honda Dax cafe racer, and its latest project takes the legacy even further. In fact, so much so that it looks nothing like the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 on which it is based.

The fuel tank is puny but dons a chrome finish to up the swagger

Dubbed Road Rocker by its makers, the custom INT650 is miles different from the real deal, and that is meant as a compliment. Starting up top, the Royal Enfield no longer features its stock bodywork, telescopic forks, or wheel. Instead, it takes inspiration from old-school choppers and features a light-less fascia topped by an up-sized 21-inch wheel and springer fork setup. A similar overhaul can be found at the rear, as K-Speed has chopped the subframe and replaced the springs with trick-looking enclosed aftermarket shocks. There’s also a custom 16-inch wheel outback clamped by a Brembo disc which helps the RE squat beautifully. And the sawtooth rubber amps the old-school-appeal ever so much.

The engine is more or less the only 'stock' aspect here

Like everything else, the ergonomics are super-different from the INT as well. Gone is the long, flat seat, and in comes a down-to-earth custom leather saddle, accompanied by a custom ape-hanger handlebar. This, along with the aftermarket foot controls and puny fuel tank, ensures a proper cruiser-like riding triangle. Meanwhile, the only more or less stock component here is the 649cc, twin-cylinder mill. It does boast a free-flow exhaust that sounds menacing, but that’s about it for updates.

Other interesting details on this custom Royal Enfield include a relocated ignition and kill switch, an internal throttle, a small tail lamp outback, and a rather unique clutch on the lower left side. It works via a shifter shaft, and all you have to do is squeeze it and change the gear. It’s a little too much effort for something that’s usually a simple job, but hey, this is what shows K-Speed’s prowess in the custom world.

Notice the lever under the seat? That's actually the clutch and gear shifter!

Sadly, it doesn’t look like it. K-Speed hasn’t shed a light on whether this is on sale for the public or whether it plans to recreate something like this. Even if it did, though, you’ll have to fly to Thailand to check it out and then ship it, which is a nerve-wracking affair. So, instead, we’d suggest you get in touch with K-Speed and find a way, or order its custom parts and slap them on yourself. Nevertheless, there’s no denying this is an unbelievable Interceptor 650 build that’s hard to top.
