All Royal Enfields are popular picks for custom projects, courtesy of their simple build, old-school charm, and most importantly, affordable price. Thus, it’s only fair for one of Royal Enfield’s youngest kids - the Hunter 350 - to get the same treatment. And doing just that, popular custom shop K-Speed has converted a Hunter 350 into a piping hot café racer. The build is a follow-up to the already bonkers but beautiful Hunter 350 scrambler they whipped up recently.

The beefy tires add a lot of character to the new aesthetics

Dubbed the “Racer Hunter,” the custom Royal Enfield looks quite different from the stock motorcycle, with much of the credit going to its souped-up underpinnings. For instance, the Hunter 350 sways away from its slender stock tires and now wears upsized rubber on its OEM alloys. This is topped by a set of custom K-Speed shock absorbers out back, alongside the chopped subframe and fender removal kit. Couple this with the shortened telescopic forks and a puny fender up top, and the Hunter 350 looks a lot more serious than its eased-out stock self.

But a café racer also needs aggressive ergonomics to back up its serious looks, and K-Speed hasn’t forgotten that. So the stock handlebar has made way for uber-low clip-on handlebars, whereas a scooped, diamond-stitched leather saddle replaces the OEM flat seat. Once aboard, you’ll also notice the repositioned instrument cluster which now sits on the left, under the fuel tank. Concurrently, a closer look reveals the nitty-gritty, but noteworthy details like the custom LED indicators, LED headlight, side panels, and custom clutch and alternator cases, all topped by a dual-tone finish on the tank.

Finally, coming to the performance, K-Speed has equipped the Hunter 350 with a full free-flow exhaust system. Though it looks svelte, we don’t think the exhaust will do wonders for the Hunter’s 349cc, single-cylinder mill (that pumps out just 20.2 horsepower) other than amp up its exhaust note. Similarly, the Hunter 350’s single-disc brakes also remain as is.

The tail end is squeaky clean, but we do wonder where the number plate will go

Although this is one of K-Speed’s recent projects, we still believe it has already found a taker, given its good looks. But you should still get in touch with the Thai shop to get a clear answer. If not, you can always go to K-Speed’s website, and order most of these parts à la carte. Before you add to cart, though, remember that the Hunter 350 is yet to debut in America. Meanwhile, in case you want a Royal Enfield café racer, the recently spied sportier Continental GT 650 might interest you.
