MV Agusta has an extensive portfolio, ripe with several wallpaper-worthy motorcycles. These feature powerful engines and top-shelf componentry, something the Italian bikemaker has always excelled at. Dig the bikemaker for this very reason? Well, you’re in for a treat then, as the latest reports suggest MV Agusta has nine new motorcycles in the pipeline for the model year 2024. The list–filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration–not only comprises brand-new offerings but also a couple of concepts that will finally enter production. There will also be a few limited editions. Let’s dive right in.

The MV Agusta Brutale And Dragster Will Feature New Engines Next Year

The B1 entry in the documents - sourced by Bennetts BikeSocial - reads the usual suspects like Brutale RR, Brutale Rosso, Dragster RR, and Dragster R. But also present among them are two new additions - the Brutale 950 and Dragster 950. Unlike the already-on-sale examples (with 798cc engines), these will employ MV’s new 931cc, triple-cylinder mill drawn from the Lucky Explorer 9.5, as suggested by the '950' suffix.

While the engine only produces 124 horsepower on the ADV, we expect no less than 150 ponies from the new naked motorcycles. Think of it as the same Ducati does with the 113-HP Multistrada V2 and the 153-HP Streetfighter V2. Once out, the new Brutale and Dragster will lock horns with a variety of motorcycles like the Streetfighter V2, Yamaha MT-09, Triumph Street Triple RS, and Honda CB1000R.

The MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Will Finally Enter Production, Alongside The 921 Retro Roadster

A few months ago, MV Agusta took the internet by storm with two striking concept motorcycles, the future-classic 921 and the flagship Superveloce 1000. Now, both motorcycles are set to enter production in 2024, as revealed by the documents. Starting with the Superveloce, it will come in three variants–S, R, and the already-announced Serie Oro–all draped in sexy neo-retro bodywork, complete with MotoGP-like winglets. Under the skin will be a Brutale 1000-derived 998cc, inline-four screamer that promises over 200 horsepower. Since the F4 is no longer on sale, the new SV 1000s will be the sportiest MV Agusta offerings available to you.

As for the 921, it will pay homage to the MV Agusta 750 from the 70s, courtesy of its neo-retro aesthetic, quirky red-blue colorway, and overall silhouette. The official filings list two variants, 921 S and 921 GT–both likely differentiated by just ergonomics. Expect the S to be a café racer (like the 750 S) while the GT could be more relaxed (like the 750 GT). Regardless of the variant, both will employ a new 921cc, four-cylinder mill. In the market, the 921 will rival the Triumph Speed Twin 1200, Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro, and BMW R NineT.

The Lucky Explorer And Superveloce 800 Will Both Have Limited Editions For 2024

The Lucky Explorer 9.5 will have a new special edition soon

Last but not least, the Italian giant has special editions in the pipeline, one for the Superveloce 800 and the other for the Lucky Explorer 9.5. The former, called Superveloce 98 Edizione Limitata, is expected to glorify MV Agusta’s original F4 superbike introduced 25 years ago in 1998. This also marked the company’s rebirth in many ways, so it’s certainly an occasion to celebrate. If this is indeed the case, the special SV 800 will come draped in a red-silver livery, just like the Tamburini-special OG F4. Not to mention, this will be the third limited edition for the Superveloce, after the Ago and Alpine variants.

On the contrary, the special edition Lucky Explorer will be a first for MV Agusta. Called LXP Orioli, the suffix suggests it’ll pay homage to legendary Dakar racer Edi Orioli. Out of his four wins, two came aboard a Lucky Strike-sponsored Cagiva Elefant which, if you don’t know, serves as the basis for the Lucky Explorer project. Like the above-mentioned Edizione Limitata, this LXP will mimic Orioli’s Cagiva Dakar racer, possibly with a new livery and some off-road-specific upgrades.

When Will The New MV Agusta Motorcycles Debut?

A quick look at MV Agusta’s history, and it’s almost certain many of these motorcycles will debut around this year’s EICMA. The bikemaker had a special presentation last year where it announced the new concepts, which will probably be the case this year as well. However, the special editions could debut at a different time, probably to match the previous important dates in MV Agusta history. Nevertheless, whenever they debut, the motorcycles will have an American launch soon after, followed by a dealership dispatch. While we wait, do comment below and tell us which one of these excites you the most.
