Back in 2022, supercharger-specialist TTS Performance made headlines with its Suzuki SuperBusa. It was based on the third-generation Hayabusa and boasted a plethora of upgrades, all topped by a mighty supercharger. With 370 horsepower, everyone expected it to be a missile, which it proved with a 194mph top speed on a runway. At the time, however, the motorcycle was in its “drag” trim with shorter gear ratios and hit the limiter–a subtle indicator that there was more in the tank. And TTS recently returned to the runway to prove just that and broke the SuperBusa’s previous record, that too, by a sizable chunk.

The TTS Performance SuperBusa Has Breached 218-MPH

Yes, you read that right! The SuperBusa recorded a top speed of 218.1mph or 350kmph–24mph more than its older record, and a stonking 32mph over the stock Hayabusa’s top speed. Credit for the increment goes to a few nifty tweaks, such as an updated front and rear sprocket, with one extra tooth and two less, respectively. This, along with the new ECU tune (focused on top speed), resulted in an over 400 horsepower output on the dyno (213 ponies more than the number Suzuki claims). Oh, and considering the SuperBusa weighs 257kg (~567 pounds), you’re looking at an insane 1.556 HP/kg power-to-weight ratio. For perspective, a million-dollar MotoGP motorcycle has a power-to-weight ratio of around 1.6HP/kg.

The SuperBusa Is Ripe With Trick Components

The SuperBusa records a super time on the drag strip

Now that you know its new top speed, let’s see what makes this Hayabusa 'super'. The crown jewel - to no one’s surprise - is a supercharger, mated to an intercooler and carbon fiber air ducts fixed into the fuel tank. This is accompanied by forged engine internals and Brock’s full system exhaust. Performance mods aside, TTS has binned the stock swingarm, wheels, and disc brakes to make way for a single-sided unit, Rotobox carbon fiber wheels, and 330 mm rotors, respectively.

It Will Set You Back By Over $35,000

The TTS SuperBusa not only looks a lot faster, but makes the stock 'Busa look slow

Like what you see? Well, then all you need is 30,000 GBP ($36,600) to convert your gen-3 ‘Busa to the SuperBusa. The shop has planned only 40 units of this beast, three of which are already accounted for (two in the USA and one in Britain). So if you have the money, there’s still to get yourself one of the craziest third-gen Hayabusas on the planet. If you aren’t in the UK, though, you will need an excellent mechanic, since motorcycle import laws only allow TTS to send your SuperBusa disassembled.
