Not so long ago, the 2023 CVO Street Glide and Road Glide were spied on the factory floor, followed by leaked images straight from the company’s official documents. But the latest revelation has now come from the horse’s mouth itself - Harley-Davidson. The MoCo has confirmed many details about its new flagship CVO cruisers, even their launch date, and here’s everything you need to know.

Harley-Davidson will unveil the updated cruisers on June 7, 2023, followed by a public debut at its Homecoming festival from July 13 to 16, 2023. More importantly, the company announcement confirms all rumored changes on both cruisers. For starters, the 2023 CVO Road Glide (RG) and Street Glide (SG) boast a new design from head to toe. While the former features a jazzed-up shark-nose fairing with a broad LED headlight, the latter has a redesigned batwing unit that houses an omega-shaped headlight and sleek DRLs on the side. This is topped by a revamped tail end, with edgier saddles and new exhausts.

Also confirmed here is the presence of a new instrument cluster. Though Harley has shed little light on it, we already know the new SG adopts a massive TFT display instead of the analog dial-equipped previous setup. This will most likely be common between the two CVOs, and so will the new features and two color options (orange and gray).

A New 121ci Engine Will Power The 2023 CVO Street Glide And Road Glide

Under the design, the 2023 CVO lineup will debut Harley-Davidson’s all-new 121ci (1,982cc) V-twin engine. The extra 66cc (over the outgoing models) will likely result in more horsepower and torque, all of which will be spread across the rev range, thanks to the addition of variable valve timing. Similarly, the cruisers also possess refreshed underpinnings, now with upside-down forks up top and cross-spoke wheels. These, along with the Brembo radial calipers, are three never-seen-before components on any Harley Custom Vehicle Operations motorcycle.

Given the updates, a price hike is a no-brainer for the CVO Road Glide and Street Glide. The problem, however, is that the outgoing 2022 RG and SG already cost a sky-high $41,899. So with the hike, the MSRP will creep ever closer to the $50,000 mark which isn’t exactly affordable for most of us. This will also make it quite pricier than other brawny freeway munchers like the $35,999 Indian Challenger Elite and the $32,900 Honda Gold Wing Tour Airbag variant. Nevertheless, we can’t wait to see the new CVO lineup on June 7, and we suggest you stay tuned to TopSpeed.com for all the latest updates.
