Super73 already belongs to the premium e-bike spectrum, yet for 2023, it’s upping the game further. The American E-bikemaker has launched a new Adventure series for its R, S, and Z electric bike models, with updates such as bigger tires, more features, and suspension. All these make the e-bikes ready for off-road adventures and boost their form-function blend.

What’s New In The 2023 Super73 Adventure Series

For the ‘Adventure’ moniker, the first notable update comes to the battery pack. No, it hasn’t changed in size, or received a boost in range, but it now sits on the lower downtube instead of the earlier upper tube position. This helps lower the center of gravity for better riding dynamics and makes way for a new, longer seat. Not only is the latter comfier than normal, but it also ensures you can move way up front, or way out back when tackling jumps. Once aboard, you’ll also dig the new motocross-like handlebar (called McFly by the bikemaker).

Besides this, all three Adventure models feature upside-down forks up top and ride on off-road-ready GRZLY tires. You also get an eight-speed gear cassette, unlike the single-speed setup on non-Adventure models. Oh, and since the R model is already a full-suspension variant, Super73 has upgraded it with fully adjustable forks and monoshock instead.

Finally, all this is brought together by a refreshed design. All three e-bikes feature LED lights front and rear, complete with a square-ish headlight nacelle and fenders, for a rugged appeal. Super73 has also debuted two limited-edition colorways - Snowshadow SE and Corsetti SE - where the former has a snow camouflage finish while the latter flexes a blue chassis with dark golden wheels. Though these cost the same as the STD colors, they will take longer to deliver.

What’s Unchanged In The 2023 Super73 Adventure Series

2023 Super73 Adventure Z

Well, mostly performance and range. Regardless of the Z, S, or R, you get a 1.2 kW motor (peak), good enough for an over 20mph top speed. For the Z, the motor is mated to a 615 Wh battery pack with a maximum pedal-assisted range of 50 miles. The other two feature a bigger 960 Wh setup to offer 75 miles of maximum range, again pedal-assisted. These numbers are the same as the S and R’s non-ADV variants, whereas it’s a considerable bump over the standard Z’s 15-mile range.

2023 Super73 Adventure Series - What’s The Price?

Super73 has priced the Adventure Z, S, and R electric bikes at $2,695, $3,595, and $3,995, respectively. This makes the S and R pricier by $300 over their standard selves, while the Z has a whopping $1,200 hike. The latter is also the biggest gainer, though, to (almost) justify the hike. So which one of these do you find the most appealing? Let us know in the comments.
